Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 3, 2026
1. Overview
This policy explains what information Court of Love Media (the "Site") collects, why, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors and to members who sign in.
2. What we collect
- Account information — the email address you sign in with (by email or Google) and the display name you choose.
- Profile content — what you publish on your artist page: your bio, tagline, portrait, banner, social links and works (titles, descriptions and links to your music or videos).
- Technical data — standard information such as IP address and session identifiers, kept by our hosting and sign-in providers to run the Site securely.
3. How we use it
- to create and secure your account and sign you in;
- to publish your artist page and the works you add to it;
- to invite and manage members of the collective;
- to keep the Site safe, prevent abuse, and comply with the law.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
4. Third-party services
Music and videos are played through third-party players such as Spotify, SoundCloud, YouTube and Vimeo. When you press play, those services may set their own cookies and process data under their own privacy policies. Signing in with Google also involves Google's privacy policy. We don't receive your passwords from any of these services.
5. Cookies and sign-in sessions
The Site uses only the cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and keep the Site secure. We don't run advertising or analytics trackers.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your account and profile information while your membership is active. If your account is removed, we delete or anonymize your profile and works within a reasonable period, except where we must keep something for legal reasons.
7. Your rights
You can see and edit your own profile information on your artist page at any time. You can ask us to correct or delete your account and content by emailing us (see below).
8. California residents — your privacy rights
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA"), gives you specific rights over your personal information:
- Right to know — you can ask what personal information we collect, use, disclose, or sell about you, and receive a copy of it.
- Right to delete — you can ask us to delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Right to correct — you can ask us to fix inaccurate personal information.
- Right to limit sensitive information — you can limit how we use sensitive personal information (for example, account credentials).
- Right to non-discrimination — we will never treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, and we do not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because of that, no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link is required.
How to exercise your rights: email info@courtoflovemedia.com with your request. We will verify your identity by confirming control of the email address on your account before acting, and we will respond within the timeframes the CCPA requires (generally 45 days). You may use an authorized agent to submit a request for you, provided the agent provides written permission signed by you. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the California Privacy Protection Agency or the California Attorney General.
9. Children
The Site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll remove it.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. Significant changes will be highlighted on the Site.
